Your Healing Does Not Depend on Time    

God’s Divine Life is at work in me now.  I am healed and whole.

Bug bites and paper cuts

When you have a bruise, you can watch it change color as it heals.

• If you have the flu, you wait for your fever to break.
• If you have a paper cut, you wait for your skin to grow together to ease that pesky pain.
• With a bug bite, you watch the redness and swelling to fade.

As you heal from those various things… you wait and watch. 

You may take some flu medicine, put on some ointment or a band-aid but; you don’t spend any time fretting how, when, or if your body will heal.

There is no doubt in your mind you will get well.    

 The life force that heals    

 We believe that bug bites and paper cuts can be healed but; when a more complex illness shows up, we find it hard to believe we have sufficient faith to be healed.

In fact, our primary response to a difficult illness can be fear not faith.

It’s important to remember that the life force that heals a paper cut is the same life force that heals a cancer.

It is the nature of the life force to heal and it is always operating.   

A beautiful illustration

Eric Butterworth gave a wonderful illustration of the nature of the life force in his book, Discover the Power Within You.

He said if you wrap a rubber band tightly around the tip of your finger, it will become red and swollen. If you leave it there longer, your finger will be in danger of great harm. 

But, the moment you release the band, what happens?

You see a beautiful demonstration of the nature of the life force as it immediately rushes back in to heal the finger.

AFFIRM:  It is the nature of the life force to heal!

You don’t have to just “live with it”

There are many things we want to heal.

If we have some condition termed “chronic” rather than thinking in terms of total healing, we more often   pray to be able to live with it, to manage it successfully. 

Add to this the very convincing MRI, x-ray, medical diagnosis, tests, pain and the collective belief that we’re just getting older and that is just the way it is, and holy cow! 

We may understand that we can use prayer and right thinking to better our condition but; we may not believe it’s possible to be totally healed.

True healing does not depend on time

True healing, your healing, does not depend on time, the nature of the disease, severity, duration, or even treatment.

It is not limited by the pattern or statistic that has always seemed to run true to a particular condition. 

True healing is of God. It sources from Divine Life. 

Your healing begins the instant you return your awareness to oneness with the perfection of this Divine Life.   

It’s the energy of full engagement that heals.

And, achieving full engagement is not as hard as you may think.

A spiritual interpretation

Every time you look past appearances and look to God, you activate its power.   

In the Book of Acts 3:1-9 Peter and John were going to the temple and there was a man lame from birth who was carried there daily to beg.

As Peter and John walked by, he asked for money.

Peter, who represents faith, with John, who represents love, said to the man, “Look on us.”

Expecting to receive money, he looked up at them.

Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have but; what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ walk.”

Immediately the man’s feet and ankles received strength and he stood up and entered temple praising God.

Look on us

The disciples knew the power of full engagement.

You want to look within to the Christ of your being until you feel the “touch” of its healing life.   

Divine Life is the animating, sustaining life force in every part of you.

It is life without beginning or end. It is free, pure, and perfect. It is powerful, ceaseless, changeless.

Today remind yourself that your healing does not depend on anything but your connection to the beautiful Divine Life in Christ.
