Your Only Guide

There is a Spirit at the very center of your being. It is at the center of all the Universe. It is the eternal, unchanging part of you. You connect with it in the quietness of your soul. Knock on the door of your heart and it shall swing wide open the door and you can go in and hold sweet communion.

As you let yourself be still before this presence, you will hear it say within you; “I am with you. I am your peace. I am your anchor of stability. I am that in you which is strong and steadfast. I am the overcoming power in you. I am unceasing love. In me you can do all things. You can meet any changing condition or circumstance; you can rise up with courage and faith; you can go forward with confidence and joy.”

It affirms, “In the  world you have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” John 16:33 

Not I will, I have.

The Christ Spirit within you has overcome the world. This is the voice of Spirit with which to enter into holy communion.   

If your world is turned upside down from the loss of a loved one, a broken romance, loss of a job, an illness, or any of the circumstances of life that seem to threaten your very existence, listen within and you’ll hear a reassuring love; “Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” John 14:27 “Lo, I am with you always.” Matt 28:20

If you feel depressed or down in spirit, if you feel unworthy, turn to the loving Christ Spirit within you and hear it say; “Peace! Be Still!” to the surging waves of emotion that would overpower you. You are not at the mercy of your moods. You are not limited by past mistakes or failures. A dark outlook is banished in the pure shining light of Spirit that constantly streams in and through you.

As you rest in the presence of divine love, you will be strengthened and upheld. You will hear Spirit confirm, “Do you know how remarkable you are? Do you know that you are so much more than you believe yourself to be?” The Christ Spirit is at the heart of you, at the heart of all. You are always and forever wrapped in its affirming love. 

If you feel inadequate and you’re telling yourself you do not have what it takes to succeed; if you have thought of yourself as an ordinary person and feel that your efforts have not counted for much, listen to the inner voice that says, “There is yet more in you.”

The truth is, you are not an ordinary person. You are a spiritual being. You have a spark of divinity in you. As a spiritual being you have the capacity to add to the joy of life. You have the capacity to express love to others and to relate to others in love and understanding. You have the capacity to give your talent to the world.

However small or great your accomplishments, you are needed and important right where you are. Something in you knows and has always known that there is still more in you. Do not hold back in fear. Do not listen to the doubts and arguments of the limited personal self. Listen to the voice which always assures you that you can be more. 

When anxious feelings stir or memories of old hurts, resentments, past mistakes, or current failings rise up; you need not be overpowered by them. As you listen in prayer and silence to the voice of the Christ Spirit within, your every need can be met, is already met.

 You find your soul satisfaction comes from deep wells of peace within you. It is the living water of Spirit that quenches your thirst; and the living bread of Spirit that satisfies your every hunger.

The more you become conscious that the outer expression of your life is the expression of this inner connection and realization of Spirit at the center of your being, the more you will you be able to bring Spirit’s perfect effect into evidence in every area of your life. 

 Through the Christ Spirit within you, you can do all things. Through the Christ Spirit within you, you can succeed and prosper. Truly, this is the only guide you need.
